Error - An error occurred while saving the entity changes. See the inner exception for details

If this error is encountered, riteTIME tried to save a piece of data to the database and was not able to for some reason.



The solution to this error varies depending on the reason it was not able to be saved. 


Sometimes, you can simply resave the data or refresh the page and save the data successfully.


Sometimes, the error will show repeatedly and not allow moving forward.


In either case:

1) Go to the Event Viewer > Windows Logs > Application on the server that is hosting riteSCAN.


2) Locate the Errors in the list, their Source will be .Net Runtime and they will mention riteSCAN in the ActionName and on the line beginning with "An exception occurred...". Example screenshot below.


3) Copy the data shown in the General Tab and send it to riteSOFT Support.
